Jim Jefferies has firmly established himself as one of the most popular and respected comedians of his generation, with a controversial and belief-challenging stand-up style that continues to surprise and entertain audiences across the globe. His latest international stand-up comedy tour, The Unusual Punishment Tour, kicked off to rave reviews and his latest project, Comedy Central’s new, weekly late night series, The Jim Jefferies Show, airs on Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Jefferies recently released Freedumb, his fifth major stand-up special in seven years. The show was filmed in Nashville and premiered on Netflix in July of 2016. Freedumb is Jefferies’ second special to air on Netflix after the huge success of Jim Jefferies: BARE, in which he delivered a now iconic set that focused on guns and gun control in the United States.
Jefferies burst onto the scene in the US after his popular debut HBO special I Swear to God. His additional successful comedy specials include Contraband, Alcoholocaust, and Fully Functional.
Jim is not only one of the best-selling touring comics but has also found critical success in his acting endeavors. He played the role of “Charlie” in And Punching the Clown, which was shown as part of the 2016 SXSW Film Festival. He also created, wrote, produced, and starred in the critically acclaimed FX series Legit, which ran for two seasons and has since gained a cult following.
He currently lives in Los Angeles.
